Elytra lost it's reason for existence!!!!!!! Please Read game changing bug!!!!

Basically, the elytra doesn't fly AT ALL! I have tried this on 2 computers
that have different IP addresses, although it may just be my Minecraft
account, but it's still the Mojang dev's faults =P. But with the Elytra
equipped on my chest plate slot, If I press space twice while flying to
drop, I fall normally, even if holding down the "W" key to move forward.
It just doesn't work at all! The elytra, the main item of 1.9 in my opinion,
should work before release! Please Fix!
