rabbits are not looking towards te player while holding a carrot

Normally when you are next to an animal it looks towards you, this rabbit doesn't.
I was holding a carrot and he looked up but not to me.
I also noticed it with other animals when you are holding something they want to eat, they are not looking towards the player.
