Boat sinking into ground from water_bucket flow

I'm not quite sure exactly what I did, but I placed a boat near a water_bucket, obviously causing the boat to flow to the edge of the water. However, it went partially into the ground, displaying a slightly-above-the-surface grass texture within the boat. (It's best explained in the picture). I couldn't get it to happen again, but it happened the first time.
