Request: Held torches give off light

I'm not sure I submitted this properly, but here is what I suggest.

It would be great if torches held in the hand gave off a light level. Not necessarily the full light level of the torch, but maybe a low level like 5 or so.

This would be especially useful in upcoming 1.9, where equipment can be dual-wielded. A pickaxe in one hand and a torch in the other would make a really immersive mining experience.
