Subtitles showing XP pickup from a very far distance

I noticed on the subtitles I can see when someone picks up a XP orb from over 200 blocks away through blocks. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but if its not I think it should be fixed because that is to far of hearing and especially annoying when someone is at my XP farm 200 blocks from my house.
