I cant open minecraft using windows 10

What I expected to happen was...:
I launch with no problems and enjoy some factions
What actually happened was...:
i open the launcher after updating to windows 10 but when i press 'play' it keeps crashing repeatedly
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have windows 10 running
2. Open your launcher
3. Press 'play'
