All day I haven`t been able to play at all and when I open a world it crashes and says it is unable to create a child event loop

What I expected to happen was...:
I would open the launcher and it would say "play"

What actually happened was...:
The launcher would open and say "Play offline"

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open launcher and click "play offline"
2. Click single player and open desired save
3. Game automatically closes and says it crashed
