The launcher opens and the game starts, but as soon as i try to open a world, it says building terrain then it closes.

Ever since I downloaded windows 10, Minecraft refused to run. I downloaded the installer and ran it, it ran through the setup and installed. I ran the launcher without a problem, the game started and I could create a new world. But as soon as it says "Building Terrain" it shuts down and brings up the crash report.
