Horrible lag near trees

I have found that, quite often, when I am playing in areas that are densely populated with trees, that my game slows to a stop and I basically cannot do anything. I have tried clearing my cookies and shutting off my ad blocker but neither seems to work. This bug affects me around 70% of the time in swampy areas and other heavily forested areas.
