Player sending respawn packet (C16PacketClientStatus) always kicks and bans player in hardcore mode ignoring player's health
Introduction
This is based on Mincraft 1.8 (decompiled with MCP) and might not be the case anymore.
The bug
When the server has hardcore enabled and the player sends the C16PacketClientStatus packet to respawn, the server ignores the health value of the player and kick him instantly. This is different to normal servers where the server first tests if the player is really dead.
