The game crashes whenever you try to hit the play button

I'd click the play button and play my game
What actually happened was...:
I hit the play button and the game crashed

Steps to Reproduce:
1. first open minecraft.exe
2. hit the play button
3. then it takes you to a screen that says the game crashed
