Summon command bug

When I use the summon command with a Fireball it shows up for a split second and then disappear
What I expected to happen was
I was going to use the command to summon a ghast fire ball and then hit it so it blew up stuff.

What actually happened was...:
The fireball flashed above the command block for a split second and then disappeared.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a command block
2. type in /summon Fireball ~ ~1 ~ (or any numbers)
3. activate the command block
