Portal Trapped

When going through a portal on a server, I get trapped between worlds. I have dedicated more ram to my server, that didn't fix the problem. This only happens on snapshots. Sometimes i die, other times it spawns me on top the nether. There is no way to fix the problem other than having someone teleport me out.
