Comparator don't block repeaters

What I expected to happen was...:
When I power the comparator the repeater would look like it is blocked

What actually happened was...:
The Repeater still looked the same

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a repeater down
2. Place a comparator facing to the side of the repeater
3. Power the comparator
