Minecraft says "Not Downloaded" upon login

When I try to load up minecraft the information doesnt start to show up, and when I log in it says "Not Downloaded". I've tried deleting the bin folder, the .minecraft folder, using a friend's folder, and uninstalled minecraft completely. The only way I can play minecraft is in browser and when I install a mod while playing in browser it shuts it down. I've also tried downloaded the files that download with inbrowser and then using minecraft downloaded, yet the same thing happens. Please help me resolve this issue, its happened before but this is the only time I couldn't fix it.
