Once the launcher had finished loading, it asked me to sign in. So I signed in using my email as the username and the password the clicked "Log in". It took a while for my launcher to respond once I clicked on the button and it came up with "Sorry, but we couldn't log in to our servers. Please make sure you are online and minecraft is not blocked."

I tried:
Restarting My Router
Restarting My Computer
Reinstalling .minecraft
Reinstalling the launcher
Adding Minecraft to the firewall
