Shooting on a Boat causes you to fall through it or glitch

I stood on a boat and shoot an arrow and fell through.
I expected not to fall through the boat.
To reproduce:
1. stand on the center of the boat so not on the edge.
2.fire an arrow upwards works best
3.you fall though or glitch into the boat
