Splash Potions turn in to Splash Potion of Water when thrown

While using Splash Potion of Instant Health to do damage to Skeletons , Potion turned in to Water Splash Potion (still says Splash Potion of Instant Health while in inventory) .
I tested in creative , and all Splash Potions appear to turn in to Water Splash Potion while thrown causing no "effect" to happen .
