Lan world not working java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

me and my sister are trying to play with echother but when she tryes to connect she gets this java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused modded or regular it affects lan only i have also recently updated to windows 10 if that has something to do with it it would be apreachiated to know how to fix it
