Demo version of minecraft

I have been playing the demo version of minecraft and every so often, when ever i hit a block it pauses the game for me, it is not me that is pausing the game either. Also when it does pause it can go on for a long time with that one block.. This is been making me every mad and was wondering if you could fix this.
