Snow Golems can be build upside down and sideways

When placing a pumpkin beside two blocks of snow horizontally or underneath two snow blocks vertically, a snow golem will spawn...

What I expected to happen was...: The pumpkin would get placed beside or underneath the snow.
What acctually happened was...: A snow golem spawned.
Steps to Reproduce...: Place two snow blocks adaent to each other. Then place a pumpkin.

Note: This bug is not present when attempting to make snow golems with jack O'Lanterns
