Boat auto correction position when making short turns

This may be intended behavior but it feels off.

Steps to reproduce:

• Get in a boat,
• travel forward by holding down A and D
• let go of D for a split second to turn Left
• hold down D again to straighten out.

What I expected to happen:

Boat moves forward at the angle I started holding down D.

What actually happens:

Angle is corrected by a lot more than expected.
