Jumping glitch with Elytra and jump boost II

When wearing the Elytra "wings" and creating a jump boost II beacon, the player falls into a solid block for a split second and glitches. I expected to jump higher and land firmly on the ground which I did jump higher. However when I tested this in a desert you can jump, but when you land you fall into the block underneath you. (about half way) Then you glitch back on top of the block.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a desert
2. Create a top tier beacon with jump boost II
3. Put on a set of the Elytra
4. Jump
