1.9 Performance Bug

1.9's performance is worse than previous versions' at the moment.
All I know is that I'm running 15w41b on a nearly empty super-flat world with a 5 chunk render, and I get lag spikes; Then I switch to my 1.8 Forge version, and it runs almost perfectly with the chunk render set to 16.
