Nether Chunk Glitches

When copying the nether folder from a world and replace another worlds nether file with that one, at first it seems to work, but after reloging and re-entering the nether, the nether gets reset and many of the cunks get filled with netherrack. Also, when entering this glitched nether, no new portal appears.
