Cmd key doesn't seem to work all the time (Command Blocks)

Basically when I am typing in a command block and that I try to use Cmd + A or Cmd + C or V, it doesn't work, the only way to actually make it work is by selecting some text in the command (Shift + Arrows to select) and then do Cmd + A or other Cmds + ?
