Redstone overlay has only cross texture/missing line texture

Basically, as of 1.9, there is only 1 image for redstone overlay, this is put over every piece of redstone or crossed, when you have a cross. The problem with this is that you can't deal with turns or single dots, like before, and in crosses there is Z fighting. Here are some screenshots to show what I mean. Fixing it shouldn't be that hard, you would just have to switch from the single overlay texture back to two (cross and line) like they had before 1.9.
