Bug about chest (lost items)

I've just experienced a bug on a multiplayer server running on 15w38b.
If you try to put an item into an already full chest, the item just stays in your inventory. But not on this snapshot. If you try shift click an item from your inventory into a full chest, then the item disappears and cannot be retrieved.
