Crafting a shield with a banner crashes game

when you put a banner and a shield in a crafting table,the game crashes
this is easily repeatable.
steps:
1.go in survival mode
2.get a crafting table,banner,and shield
3place crafting table
4.put shield in crafting table then put banner in the crafting table
