lancher bug

i had just updated java and the minecraft lancher would not run
i just got a message saying "This application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0
when i click "ok" it brings me to the java website were i reinstalled java
the message poped up again
i than redownloaded the lancher
again the same thing
