THIS IS A SUGGESTION, NOT A BUG *PLEASE LOOK!*

Dear Mojang Team,
Now that you are working A LOT on Minecraft combat, i though this would be a good time to bring this up. I want to suggest adding daggers to the game. This may not be on your priority list, but let me explain. First off, I think these should only be available through ores: Iron, Gold, and Diamond. You have also added attack speed. Daggers could possible have a FASTER attack speed, but LOWER attack damage than the sword version. And maybe a iron dagger should be BETTER than a diamond one? That is up to you. The shape should be relatively simple, so I think you awesome guys can handle THAT.
I REALLY THINK THIS WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE COMBAT UPDATE!
