I keep crashing on minecraft startup

What I expected to happen was that my game would startup normally
it would run minecraft like normal.

My game crashed on startup.
It did this whenever I pressed play. It only did this after I updated my launcher to version 1.6.44

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press play in online mode.
2. Wait a few seconds and the game will crash
3. The launcher will open up again with the crash report
