Nether bedrock in ceiling replaced with string

Went into the nether to find this chunk had randomly been replaced with string. All of the other chunks are fine in the nether. I can break the string, but it doesn't let me pick it up, I can middle mouse it in creative and it gives me string. Players can break the string and get out the top of the nether.
