Nether Portals disappear when travelling from the Nether to the Overworld.

Lit a Nether Portal, went through it. Explored the Nether a bit, went back into portal. When I re-appeared in the Overworld, I stood in an empty obsidian frame, with no portal. Re-lit the portal, did the same thing. Happened again. Tried a third time; same result.
