When placing stairs all stairs disappear when relogging

When placing stairs of the wooden and cobblestone varieties in the latest snapshot and then logging out and back in all the stairs placed in the latest version disappear, leaving behind a lighting glitch. However, stairs placed in previous versions then reloaded in 15w35b do not disappear.
