Note blocks don't play a sound on left-click in Adventure mode

I'm not sure whether this is intended or not, but since left-clicking note blocks doesn't do anything but play a sound, I assumed it was an oversight.

What I expected to happen:
Left click on a note block in Adventure Mode to play the note block's sound.

What actually happened:
Nothing at all.

How to reproduce:
1. Place a note block
2. Switch to Adventure Mode
3. Left-click the note block
