Cannot craft a skull banner (red skull pattern) to make into a shield. i use black banners and shields...

What I expected to happen was...:
to make a banner-shield thingy using rose red and skulls (black banner and shield)
What actually happened was...:
I could not even make the banner..

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go into singleplayer..
2.click create new world..
3.when you get there place a workbench
4.try and make a banner shield thingy with a 2 banners, 2 rose red, 2 skulls and 2 shields
