game will not launch

What I expected to happen was for the game to load when I clicked play...:

What actually happened was...:

the game downloaded after i logged in and pressed play, but crashed before it actually launched

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
2. ...double click shortcut
3. ...log in using user name and password
click 'play'
then the game crashes and a message saying'uh oh - looks like the game has crashed....' is shown
