Minecart rails and carts

I was playing in a single player world and I sent minecarts under a half slab bridge over powered rails and they started making the shaking motion like someone was trying to break it. I got rid of the half slab over it and tried again, same thing happened. It only happened with empty minecarts though. I set up three other ones and they did the same thing.
