Can't middle-click mobs for spawn egg, and placing a spawn egg on another one gives you two.

Middle clicking a spider, for example, doesn't give you the spider egg.

If you have another egg, it switches to that. If you're holding any spawn egg, it does nothing. Otherwise, it gives you Spawn.
