When usinf bud switch. Piston mutiples when piston updates

Created sideways bud switch for havesting. Every other piston update it multiples the piston from 1 piston to 2 pistons. I have to destory the pistons and replace to make it work. Piston 1.jpg shows piston after 1 cycle. Piston 2.jpg shows piston error. Note even though piston is extended; it appears that there is another sticky piston at base of extended piston. New piston does not work.
