Cant Open Minecraft

Usually when I click on minecraft on my homescreen it opens and I can play whatever server I want, instead it started to stop working I coudnt play any multi players servers and I couldn't play any single player games as it said unable to load. someone told me to download Windows 10 which I just have now when I try minecraft it starts to load and I come to a crash report and I have tried multiple times to re-download and the same issue is happening everytime... I was on a multiplayer server when I got kicked off and couldn't use minecraft from then on
