Large Login spam when joining snapshot server

When I attempt to join our snapshot MC server, the chat of the other players and the console gets spammed by 2iguys_Mason has joined the game 2iguys_Mason has left the game, repeated like 3 times per join attempt. as well as when I try to join I cannot actually send chat messages till the 2nd or 3rd join attempt.
