Player physic

When i enter command "/effect @p minecraft:levitation 30 254 true" with gamemode 0 or 2 and fall a few block below with low speed after taking more than 0.5 heart damage from falling i'm bouncing about 50 block up (even when i'm falling from 5 blocks)

I expected that i just land on the ground

bounce at the height of 17m

1. build at least 4-blocks high pillar.
2. stand on top
3. type that command: /gamemode 0 (if in creative)
4. type next command: /effect @p minecraft:levitation 30 254
5. fall from pillar.
6. when you touch the ground you will be launched 17 block up.
