Shulker teleporting from wall to ground

In the end city dungeon, at the front entrance where there are 2 shulkers, i killed one, then with the other i shot a few arrows of harming at it, and when i shot at it again, it teleported a few blocks away from where it originally was. Also when shulkers die, the just disappear, no death animation.
