In snapshot 15w31a my screen is permanently dark

The game starts up perfectly to get to the menu, but as soon as i get in game it is a black screen. Nothing at all is displayed, the whole window is black. The only way i can see is be constantly using "F3,A" to refresh the screen, but even this only gives a flash of the world.
