Rain Glitch

I went onto a minecraft server and started flying around. I noticed when it started raining that you only hear the sound of rain when you are close to the ground. I didn't know if this was a bug or not or anything so I decided to post it here. Anyway thankyou for taking your time to read this, ~ Sean
