Starvation regardless of eating

Playing normally, during daytime or nighttime. Hunger bar begins to go down. I eat, it fills up; however, it quickly depletes more rapidly than normal. I have experienced this before, and either sleeping or reloading the world will correct the issue. Although, this time it continues to happen. within one or two minutes I will starve to death. I have been eating tons of food, of every variety. I usually eat steak as I find it to be the best investment in time and resources with the best return on hunger and saturation. This concerns me as I have tried to travel a great distance from my normal region and am still having the issue. If there is any advice I would be very grateful.
