i started up my minecraft and it kept saying it crashed

What I expected to happen was...:
minecraft to go to title screen like it normaly does

What actually happened was...:
it said it crashed and i can't play now

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start up^minecraft
2.click play
3.it crashes and goes back to where you where at step 2
