Game crashes when going fullscreen/maximizing window in Windows 8

Upon trying to make the game fullscreen anytime after main screen via Maximizing the window, F11, or the Fullscreen option in the setting causes the game to crash.

Normally, this would simply make the game fullscreen, how I'd prefer to play it. However it instead completely crashes.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch game
2. Log in
3. Attempt to go fullscreen or maximize the window after game starts

It does this without fail to me. I CAN however Maximize the window at the login screen then play nearly fullscreen (aside title bar and taskbar) But upon minimizing the game and bring it back up, it will once again crash.
